MSK Covertech Group innovates constantly to meet customers’ and market’s needs. As such, MSK engineers have been working towards the reduction of MSK equipment’s carbon footprint.

When it comes to packaging, the new MSK shrink frame generation minimizes the energy consumption allowing to reduce gas consumption by 13%. An additional saving of 40% is possible with the MSK Covershrink energy-saving module.

MSK has also developed an electric shrink frame, the MSK Corritech with eCovershrink. By avoiding the use of fossil fuels, MSK supports companies on their path towards climate neutrality while still benefiting from the advantages offered by shrink hooding.

Furthermore, films made of recycled materials (so called PCR films) or biodegradable films can be used by MSK packaging systems.

With regards to unwrapping, the MSK Defotech automatic unwrapping machine automatically prepares films for recycling through a special film removal system. When using homogeneous film types, these can be completely recycled – an advantage that contributes to the profitability of the production line. Moreover, the use of a supplementary baling press means that the film removed is pressed to bales for subsequent recycling. This enables a significant storage space saving as well.
