Nomaco was the first US manufacturer to develop extruded polyethylene packaging profiles. In the decades since we began to serve this market, Nomaco has become known for its quality foam packaging protection. Today our company manufactures a wide variety of profiles to protect products and components during storage and shipment. Our offering of profiles, rounds and custom planks includes a comprehensive range of commonly used diameters, thicknesses and densities.

Our foam solutions reduce packaging, labor and freight costs and provide protection from denting, scratches and breakage. We frequently develop customized foam packaging solutions, leveraging in-line processing that can eliminate the need and additional costs of secondary processing steps. NomaGreen™ is our biodegradable polyethylene formulation. It is not starch-based or bio-based, and it will meet all performance requirements for PE foam regardless of moisture, heat, light or mechanical stress. NomaGreen’s biodegradation process only occurs when the foam is placed in a microbe-rich environment, such as a landfill.  Foam made from this formulation can also be reused and recycled in the standard LDPE stream.

NomaGreen passed testing through a third party, independent laboratory to ensure it meets ASTM D-5511 standards for biodegradability. Results showed that after 120 days in the lab, NomaGreen achieved greater than 40% biodegradation.
