Knack Packaging manufactures PP and BOPP bags that focus on sustainability and an environmentally friendly option for packaging. Sustainable packaging demands less use of natural resources, which improves the ability for businesses to continue creating products and services longer. In addition to being lighter and more robust than paper and other types of plastic bags, BOPP bags last longer and can be reused, which makes them even more environmentally friendly. Polypropylene is a 100% by product of natural gas and petroleum refining. At Knack Packaging we manufacture our products with green energy which reduces our carbon footprint. Around 40% of our energy comes from green energy sources such as solar and wind energy. Through these efforts, we have already reduced approximately 7900 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. We are committed to further enhancing our environmental impact by aiming to achieve 90% of our energy from renewable sources. Currently, we are in the process of increasing our renewable energy capacity from 4.1 MW to 15 MW to meet this ambitious target aligning with UN’s sustainable development goals.  
We use recyclable content in our product which reduces the use of plastic to a huge extent. The best part is that we recycle our own production waste and generate recycled polypropylene resin which is used in our own bags. The best part is that we maintain same quality and strength even after using recycled content. This way same material is re-used actually standing true to the nature of plastic where it can be re-used multiple times without losing the actual property. By integrating 10 to 30% recycled plastic granules with virgin materials, as required by customers we actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote circular economy principles in alignment with global plastic treaty. Though this, every year we are reducing the consumption of virgin plastic materials by 300 metric tons and cutting down greenhouse gas emissions by 157 metric tons. Additionally, we are currently pursuing certifications for Global Recycled Standard (GRS)/Recycled Content Standard (RCS), underscoring our dedication to transparent and sustainable manufacturing practices. Our products are 100% recyclable, ensuring a closed-loop approach to sustainability.
We feel proud to say that we have acknowledged our responsibilities from day 1 and already have set up a recycling plant having the processing capacity of 260 MT/Month which reduces the post-industrial waste considerably. We are working on a project to taking up the responsibility of post-consumer waste by hiring a third party to collect the waste from market and recycle it on our behalf. Our vision to have no carbon footprint in the upcoming years has motivated us to take it as a responsibility rather than a duty imposed on us because of Government compliances. We also responsibly manages wastewater by treating all industrial and domestic waste water through our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). These treated water again used in gardening area that reduce the fresh water consumption.
