As well as having a BREEAM Excellent headquarters in Britain, reducing our carbon emissions by over 23%, diverting 100% of waste from landfill, increasing our recycled content products by 70%, and increasing non-plastic and recyclable innovations by 12%, our innovative approach focuses on three key areas:

Sustainable Materials: We provide packaging solutions made from post-consumer waste, post-industrial waste, biodegradable materials, and plastic-free alternatives. These materials are designed to be recyclable, compostable, or reusable, significantly reducing post-consumer waste. These solutions include:

-Rapisac:
Rapisac, our in-house innovation, is our hanging mailing bag system. The bags used can be made from up to 100% post-consumer waste. 

-Bio-Seal Variations:
Bio-Seal Pure:
Bio-Seal™ is a 100% recyclable and biodegradable reinforced paper tape that has a water-activated, starch-based adhesive. The reinforcements on this tape are made from natural wood fibers. 

Bio-Seal Silver:
Made from kraft paper and secured using a strong hot melt adhesive, our paper tape offers optimal security and recyclability

Bio-Seal Gold:
Made from kraft paper with cross-weave fiberglass reinforcement, and secured using a strong hot melt adhesive, our reinforced paper tape offers optimal security and recyclability.

Bio-Seal:
Bio-Seal™ is a reinforced paper tape that has a water-activated, starch-based adhesive. It provides a secure seal on every carton. Our reinforced paper tape offers maximum security and 100% recyclability.

-Rapicell:
Rapicell is a sustainable bubble wrap alternative that will keep your products in place with its interlocking design without any need for adhesive tape.
Benefits include:
-Increases wrapping speed by up to 50%.
-Cost-effective to transport: 1 truck of Rapicell is equivalent to 7.5 trucks of bubble wrap. 
-Storage space reduced by up to 80%.
-Interlocking design offers maximum protection of products.
-Adjustable tension control maximizes material usage and guarantees consistency.

-Tidal Tape:
Reduce, reuse, and recycle with our 85% post-consumer waste tape. Due to its reduced thickness, Tidal Tape offers a 20% reduction in plastic usage and the environmental impact of Tidal Tape is low compared to traditional polypropylene tape.

Energy-Efficient Operations: Carlton Packaging has achieved carbon neutrality and continuously works to maintain this status. Some of the clean energy solutions Carlton has implemented include
LED lighting, optimizing equipment performance, solar power, wind power, offsetting carbon, electric vehicle fleet, and utilizing renewable energy sources where possible. These initiatives reduce our carbon emissions and contribute to cost savings and operational efficiency; truly better for business, people, and our planet. We also have an in-house Sustainability Committee and carbon-literate staff, making us a carbon-literate organization.
